About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Wound Care Duration: 6 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 Years License: GA or Compact License Required Certifications: BLS, WOCN Must-Have: - Colostomy/Ileostomy Management and Care - Catheter Management and Self-Care Teaching - Neuropathic Ulcer Assessment and Management - Pressure Ulcer Assessment and Management - Venous Ulcer Assessment and Management - Wound Care Techniques Description: This position involves providing nursing care with a focus on wound management. The nurse will work Monday through Friday with no call requirements. Floating within the facility and scope of practice may be necessary. The unit accepts first-time travelers with a minimum of two years of experience. The nurse is expected to work major holidays as outlined in the guidelines. Full compliance with onboarding requirements is needed to start on time. Candidates must complete compliance documentation by the designated deadline. The orientation period consists of non-billable hours required for training. The nurse will assist in the assessment and management of various types of wounds. Other responsibilities include teaching patients self-care techniques for their conditions. This position is an excellent opportunity for experienced wound care nurses.
