Certified Medical Assistant

Role Description The Certified Medical Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in San Mateo, CA. This role includes greeting and rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations and procedures. The Medical Assistant supports the physician with clinical tasks, such as assisting with minor procedures, administering injections as permitted, and ensuring exam rooms and equipment are clean and stocked. Daily responsibilities also include managing medical records, updating information in the electronic health record, handling phone calls, scheduling appointments, and coordinating referrals. The role requires consistent attention to patient safety, privacy, and comfort while contributing to an organized and efficient medical office. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Medical Assisting, including vital signs, patient intake, and support during examinations and procedures. Solid understanding of Medical Terminology to accurately document and communicate clinical information. 3 years plus experience working in a Medical Office setting, including appointment scheduling, phone triage, and coordination with other healthcare professionals. Strong Patient Care skills, with a focus on empathy, clear communication, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Ability to manage and maintain Medical Records, preferably using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent credential, in good standing. Current BLS/CPR certification and knowledge of basic clinical safety and infection control practices. Attention to detail, reliable time management, and ability to work collaboratively in a small clinical team. Previous experience in an outpatient or primary care setting is required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
