Cardiac Rehab RN

Nurse needed for outpatient cardiac and pulmonary rehab gym for exercise and case management of patients. Inpatient cardiac rehab involves assisted ambulation and education with a staff ratio of two to one. Position supports patients who have undergone cardiac interventions, heart surgery, heart failure, or stable angina. Pulmonary rehab patients typically have COPD, bronchitis, or pulmonary hypertension. Outpatient services utilize telemetry monitoring systems. Inpatient care involves education and ambulation for patients post-cardiac interventions and surgeries. Assistive devices are used in patient care and activities. Responsibilities include patient teaching and monitoring vital signs. Basic arrhythmia exam is required, assessing EKG interpretation and rhythm analysis. Strong foundational knowledge and critical thinking skills in rhythm interpretation are essential for success. The role may require floating to other units as needed.

Experience: Cardiac rehab experience required License: NJ or compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Telemetry Must-Have: Proof of both COVID vaccines and one booster required, with no exemptions or declinations allowed for COVID or flu.
