Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an Emergency Room (ER) position located in Danville, Virginia. The selected candidate will provide emergency care to patients across all age groups within a fast-paced environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Danville, VA
• Unit Type: Emergency Room
• Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts) with rotating weekends and as needed.
• Schedule: 36 hours per week guaranteed.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Handle with Care (available on-site). Additional certifications include the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIH), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC). A minimum of 5+ years of experience in an Emergency Department is required. No minimum experience requirement is specified for this position.
• Preferred Qualifications: Extensive ER experience preferred.
• Additional Information: The successful candidate must undergo consent for random drug screening and complete a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form, with screenings conducted on-site. The unit has 31 beds, 2 triage rooms, and serves patients of all ages. The typical patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4, with flexibility during high-volume periods. The primary electronic health records systems used are MedHost (ED) and Meditech.
