Responsibilities

Draw high-quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures and safety protocols.

Prepare and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing, ensuring proper verification of patient demographic information and signatures post-venipuncture.

Maintain precise records and documentation of procedures, adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards.

Create a positive patient experience by explaining procedures clearly and demonstrating professional, compassionate care.

Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment within the patient service or clinical setting.

Perform specimen processing duties in accordance with best practices, demonstrating process excellence and attention to detail.

Support multiple locations and flexible scheduling requirements, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed.

Required Skills

Proven ability to perform phlebotomy with high accuracy and efficiency.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, peers, and supervisors.

Competency in data entry and record-keeping related to specimen handling.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining quality standards.

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred, especially in states like California, Nevada, and Washington.

1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Experience in a Patient Service Center or clinical laboratory environment is highly desirable.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts, with potential travel between multiple locations.
