Mechanical/Electrical Crane Technician

Application Instructions Due to continued growth, Simmers Crane Design & Services, A Flatiron Crane Operating Company is looking for a Mechanical/Electrical Crane Technician to join our highly skilled team. - Excellent compensation ($30.00 - $42.00/hour, commensurate with experience)

- Perform maintenance and repairs on overhead cranes and related equipment at customer facilities.
- Diagnose mechanical problems with equipment in heavy industrial manufacturing facilities.
- Work as a team with other technicians and project engineers to perform major installations, upgrades, and modifications.
- You will be trained to perform documented safety inspections of specific types of equipment in keeping with OSHA guidelines.
- Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance in accordance with applicable guidelines, consulting with customers regarding all noted deficiencies and completing all required paperwork.
- Responsible for documentation of hours, services performed, writing service acknowledgments, and working with computers.
- HS Diploma or GED
- At least 3 years in an industrial environment or similar Military Experience.
- Skills and experience in welding, electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Experience as an ironworker, millwright or facilities maintenance is preferred.
- Team approach to problem solving.
- Computer literate; Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to interface with internal and external customers.
- Travel Required.
- Eligible to work various shifts.
- Ability to work at customers facilities including the extreme elements indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to work from heights.
- Work in accordance with OSHA, CMAA, ANSI, ASME, AWS, and other applicable regulations.
