Job Description

As a Security Officer Overnight Patrol in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and direct individuals according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
