Experienced Prep Cook

Position Overview:

• Chartwells is seeking a dependable and skilled Breakfast Prep Cook to join our dining services team at the University of Dallas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items including eggs, meats, pancakes, waffles, and other hot/cold dishes.
• Assist with food preparation such as chopping, measuring, portioning, and assembling ingredients.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Set up and stock the breakfast line before service, ensuring all items are fresh and properly displayed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with restocking supplies and rotating inventory.
• Work collaboratively with team members to provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a prep cook, breakfast cook, or in a similar food service role preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable, punctual, and a team player.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform repetitive motions such as bending, lifting, and reaching.
