Product Manager - Apparel

The BRUNT team is building a community that tradespeople can call their own, with events and engagement across the country. BRUNT is a fast-growing workwear brand, seeking a strategic, commercially sharp Product Manager to lead and drive our Bottoms, Denim, and Outerwear business units. You will own the full product lifecycle from brief through launch, ensuring every product is durable, functional, and worthy of a hard day’s work. A key priority within the Bottoms business is growing our Denim offering as a core part of our workwear assortment. This is a leadership-heavy execution role for someone who translates real-world consumer insight into products that solve on-the-job problems. What You’ll Do Lead and drive product initiatives across Bottoms, Denim, and Outerwear, owning the full product lifecycle from initial brief to post-launch analysis. Ensure alignment with business goals, customer needs, and on-time delivery. How You’ll Do It Product Lifecycle Management Own the commercial lifecycle of all assigned Bottoms, Denim, and Outerwear styles from brief through post-launch analysis Drive seasonal milestone tracking and hold cross-functional partners accountable to deadlines Proactively flag margin, timing, or positioning risks with clear tradeoffs and solutions Monitor sell-through and margin KPIs; translate data into actionable growth plans centered on the trade worker consumer Brief Development & Commercial Alignment Build comprehensive seasonal briefs grounded in real needs of trade workers, covering use cases, durability, features, performance standards, and target costs Collaborate with Category leadership to ensure seasonal alignment Lead strategic development and expansion of the Denim classification within Bottoms, selecting fits, fabrics, and washes for the job site Align Consumer Insights, Planning, Sourcing, and Design before development kicks off to include the trade worker’s voice from day one Serve as the primary commercial contact for vendors through development Validate pricing inputs and margin assumptions with Finance before leadership review Cross-Functional Execution Leadership Act as day-to-day commercial lead across Insights, Design, Sourcing, and Creative Prepare and facilitate product reviews; document decisions and next steps Collaborate with Technical Design during fit sessions to ensure mobility, durability, and safety compliance where applicable Lead competitive analysis and consumer research to identify whitespace in the workwear market Use job-site insights, customer feedback, and sales data to inform seasonal positioning and Denim growth Manage line planning, pricing strategy, proto review, and line close selection for Bottoms and Outerwear Capture post-launch learnings and identify areas for improvement What You Bring to the Table 4-7+ years in product management, merchandising, or a commercial apparel role; vertical brand or workwear experience strongly preferred Familiarity with denim product development, fabrication, construction, and wash development is a plus Genuine understanding of or passion for the trade worker—lifestyle, demands, and expectations for gear Deep understanding of retail math: IMU, sell-through, and margin modeling Proficiency with Microsoft and Google Office platforms Experience with PLM software or similar product development tools preferred Knowledge of distribution channel complexity (DTC, retail, wholesale, omnichannel) Strong analytical skills to synthesize consumer, sales, and market data into actionable refinements Clear communicator able to translate complex data into narratives for leadership, vendors, and internal teams Highly organized, self-directed, and energized by a fast-paced seasonal calendar Compensation & Benefits We provide a good-faith salary range for this position. The actual compensation depends on qualifications, experience, and budget. Benefits include healthcare (medical, dental, vision), retirement with 401(k) match, 15 days of PTO plus 11 holidays and sick leave, and incentives such as a performance-based bonus and equity where applicable.
