Bellman/Shuttle Driver

Qualifications:

The bell service staff isof critical importance to our hotel, as they are the first and the last peoplethat a guest interacts with.


The bell person's job isto greet guests, direct them to the check-in desk, carry the guest's baggage toand from their cars and rooms, and educate guests on the contents and featuresof the hotel, guest rooms and the local area.


They also store guests'luggage after they have checked out if they are not leaving immediately as wellas arrange for local transportation when requested.


Bell Attendants/ShuttleDrivers are in constant communication with the Front Office and Valet to ensureguests are escorted and their luggage and personal items are transported to andfrom the guest rooms efficiently.


It's important to ensure thatguests are comfortable with accommodation and are familiar with room offeringsand features.


The driving portion of thejob is a five mile radius around the hotel during peak times. This highlyvisible role gives opportunities for casual conversation and hotel or localrecommendations.

Must be able to lift andcarry 50 pounds. The bell staff also works with housekeeping to ensure thelobby area is free of trash and debris. Must have an outgoing personality! Mustbe able to WOW the guests with charm and personality!

• Transport guests to/from assigned destinations using a property vehicle.
• Document all trips prior to the start of and at the conclusion of each trip.
• Park vehicle in designated location when not in use.
• Inspect property vehicles for damage and cleanliness.
• Check tire pressure and fluid levels for property vehicle and refuel as necessary.
• Notify appropriate personnel of any vehicle maintenance needs.

• Document all vehicle incidents (i.e., damages, accidents) and provide reports of incidents to manager/supervisor.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including complete weekend and holiday availability.
• Must have great customer service skills - all of our positions come into contact with guests!
• Valid Florida driver's license and very good driving record. Must pass our insurance background for driving.
