ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for night shifts in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH). The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in critical care and be comfortable floating to MedSurg/Telemetry/PCU as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington State or Multi-State
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in critical care or related fields

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patient and significant other's needs for education and provide appropriate educational resources.
• Ensure patient safety through preventative measures, including proper use of side rails, restraints, and equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safe operation and troubleshooting techniques for essential medical equipment.
• Implement infection control and isolation procedures, adhering to proper documentation and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, and patient responses during assigned shifts.
• Complete physician orders promptly and accurately; conduct a 24-hour check of orders as required.
• Provide comprehensive change of shift reports to oncoming staff members.
• Maintain inventory and restock emergency carts and supplies as necessary.
• Report critical lab values to the physician in a timely manner following established policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Holiday coverage is required as part of this position.
