Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery professional with a focus on providing exceptional care in a dynamic and supportive environment. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with experience in high-risk antepartum, labor and delivery, and mother/baby units.

Shift Details

Schedule: Day Shift, 3x12-hour format (07:00 - 19:00)

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
Valid California nursing license (CA LIC) in hand
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
AWHONN certifications (Advanced and Intermediate) or C-EFM certification

Skills and Experience

Experience with patient ratios in labor and delivery settings
Competence with charting systems, specifically Paragon (training provided)
Experience working in a facility with a monthly birth volume of 100-300
Expertise in high-risk antepartum, labor and delivery, and LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)
Familiarity with Level I nursery and mother/baby unit care

Additional Requirements

Candidates must be prepared to complete on-site courses: Assaultive Behavior and Fire Card within 30 days of start date
Course Costs: Fire Card - $50, Assaultive Behavior - $80 (non-reimbursable)
No DUIs in background checks

Work Environment

Candidates should be adaptable and willing to float among units as required, ensuring compliance with clinical experience standards. This position may involve working with high-risk cases and rotating among various departments.
