Maintenance Technician

Full-time (40 hrs/week). Day shifts. On-call rotation required for nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the organization's buildings, equipment, utilities, and physical systems safe and operational. Responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance throughout the hospital and other facilities. Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems while helping maintain a safe, clean, and reliable healthcare environment.

Requirements

Maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical experience is preferred. Ability to use hand and power tools safely. Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read work orders, manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation. Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies. Good communication and customer-service skills. Must be able to read, speak, write, and follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to work with people in a tactful and diplomatic manner exercising sound judgment and discretion.


Job duties require bending, stooping, sitting, climbing, pushing, lifting 50 lbs. Use of ladder. Works with chemicals. Duties may at times include overhead work, heights, and working in cramped spaces.
