Senior Internal Auditor - Digital Assets

Our client, a leading organization in the banking industry, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Internal Auditor – Digital Assets to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Internal Auditor – Digital Assets, you will be an integral part of the internal audit department supporting digital asset and blockchain-related initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity and compliance, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor – Digital Assets

Location: Remote

Pay Range: $85/HR W2

What's the Job?

• Conduct risk-based audits of digital-asset processes, including wallet management, private-key security, blockchain transaction flows, staking, token issuance, and digital-asset custody.

• Evaluate on-chain and off-chain controls, including reconciliation processes, blockchain analytics, and transaction monitoring.

• Assess the effectiveness of smart-contract governance, change-management controls, and vendor oversight for blockchain-related third parties.

• Review compliance with emerging digital-asset regulations, including SEC, CFTC, OCC, NYDFS, FinCEN, and global regulatory frameworks.

• Evaluate AML/CTF controls related to digital-asset activity, including wallet screening, blockchain forensics, and suspicious-activity escalation.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

• Experience in digital asset and blockchain technology audits or related fields.

• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as SEC, CFTC, OCC, NYDFS, and FinCEN.

• Knowledge of AML/CTF controls and cybersecurity measures related to digital assets.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
