Responsibilities

• Execute a diverse range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout all procedures, clearly explaining each step with empathy and understanding
• Work hand in hand with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic images
• Manage and maintain imaging equipment, addressing any malfunctions promptly
• Document procedures accurately and maintain patient records in the electronic medical system
• Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and standard practices

Education

• Earned an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Preference for those who have completed a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Licensure and Certifications

• Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred

Skills Required
