A bit about us: A trucking company with multiple locations that has both a parts store, service area and its own fleet. It is a combination of a maintenance yard and a dealership. managing and overseeing operations within the shop and the fleet. Overseeing parts managers and service technicians ensuring smooth daily operations. Managing responsibilities for locations technicians and service advisers. Generating new ideas to improve day-to-day operations of the branch. Ensure compliance with warranty procedures, repairs, and documentation. Why join us? Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a General Manager at our trucking company. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the overall success of our business, overseeing all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission of the company. Develop and implement business strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
2. Oversee daily operations and make key decisions for the company.
3. Maintain location, cleanliness and organization, sueprvise general upkeep of dealership facilities and Grounds
4. Direct the employee assessment process.
5. Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities.
6. Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times.
7. Train and oversee both the parts center, service center and fleet operations within the branch.
8. Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of employees providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.
9. Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth.
10. Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company. Qualifications: 1. Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role, preferably within a trucking, automotive or heavy equipment related environment
2. Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision.
4. Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, operations, finance, etc.
5. In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices.
6. An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
7. Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
