Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) Position Overview We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experienced in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with vascular disease, including lower extremity venous insufficiency and peripheral arterial disease. This position is office-based and primarily focused on consultations, ongoing evaluations, follow-up care, and in-office procedures. The Advanced Practice Provider will work closely with the physician and perform consultations and procedures within his/her scope of practice once trained and qualified. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and manage vascular conditions such as venous insufficiency, pelvic congestion syndrome, and peripheral arterial disease. Perform minimally invasive procedures like ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy and micro-phlebectomy (training provided). Develop and implement patient-specific treatment plans. Educate patients and families on vascular conditions, treatment options, and care plans. Collaborate with supervising physicians and specialists for comprehensive patient care. Respond to patient inquiries, follow-ups, and emergencies. Document care in electronic medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA. Why UVVC? Vascular experience required; procedural experience is a plus. Education & Licensure : Degree from an accredited NP or PA program. Active NP or PA license in the applicable state. National certification (AANP, ANCC for NP; NCCPA for PA). Current BLS and ACLS certifications. DEA license (or ability to obtain). Skills : Comfortable working independently in outpatient settings. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
