Position Summary

The lab technician will work closely with faculty, staff, and students to assist in the proper upkeep and maintenance of a busy undergraduate biology lab.

Position Responsibilities

• Preparation of materials needed for the laboratory exercises
• Maintaining all living materials used in the advanced courses
• Ordering supplies for the various laboratory exercises
• Troubleshooting laboratory equipment issues
• Overseeing the cleanliness of the teaching laboratories
• Maintaining inventory
• Assisting professors (e.g., photocopying of examinations, proctoring)

Experience & Educational Background :

• BA degree, preferably in Biology or Biochemistry

Skills & Competencies :

• Attention to detail, ability to work independently

Salary Range :

1199 New Hire rate: $28.12 and 1199 One Year of Service rate: $28.70

As of July 1, 2026, 1199 New Hire rate: $29.46, and 1199 One Year of Service rate: $30.06
