Job Summary And Qualifications We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Special Procedures (IR) for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. As a Special Procedures RN, you will be responsible for setup and assist physicians with procedures as needed (i.e., abscess drainage, biopsy, consent for invasive procedures and follow-ups, as necessary). What You Will Do In Your Role: You will be responsible for EKG monitoring, when necessary You will be responsible for administering medications/blood as ordered You will be responsible for start of saline locks and IV’s according to IVP/CT protocol You will be responsible for catheterization of patients in department You will monitor patients receiving IV sedation under the direct supervision of the Radiologist You will be responsible for informing the Radiologist/Technologist of any penitent changes in the patient’s condition What qualifications you will need: Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (RN) Registered Nurse Associate Degree 2 years RN experience - critical care preferred in an acute care setting Benefits HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
