Radiologic Technologist

Job Summary Provide mobile X-Ray and EKG (if applicable) service to nursing homes, health care facilities, and other miscellaneous facilities. Pay Range: $35-45 depending on experience and shift. Status: Day, Evening, or Night positions available. Responsibilities Perform and process X‑Rays using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment and submit/transmit them to a Radiologist for interpretation. Unload portable X‑Ray equipment and transport it to facilities to perform exams ordered by the physician. Must obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent x‑ray images. Perform EKGs (as needed) and transmit them to a Cardiologist for interpretation (if required). Scan exam‑related paperwork/billing documents on a daily basis per protocol. Communicate regularly with dispatch and management. Communicate efficiently and interact professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients. Maintain vehicle and x‑ray equipment. Required Skills Maintain required State licenses and/or ARRT Certification, health requirements, and operational requirements. Valid driver’s license in the applicable state and in good current standing at all times. Attend meetings as required. Connect and disconnect Holter Monitors (if required). Care for equipment professionally. Notify supervisor immediately if equipment malfunctions. Perform special projects or other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager. Train other technologists as required. Self‑motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with little to no direct supervision. Duties Login for self‑dispatching or call into the dispatch department to obtain information regarding beginning case load. Arrive at first case or location, pick up company vehicle at start of shift or leave home thirty (30) minutes prior. Wear company uniform, name tag, radiation badge, and follow dress code. Carry company‑provided phone. Respond to urgent communication within fifteen (15) minutes. Check voicemail/text messages from each client’s facility upon completion of assigned case(s) or, at least, every thirty (30) minutes. Check for available cases via self‑dispatching system or check in with dispatcher every thirty (30) minutes. Verify orders against the patient chart; ensure they match requisition. If orders differ, halt the exam until correct documentation is entered. Confirm correct patient identity using two patient identifiers (name and date of birth). If patient cannot identify themselves, nurse in charge must identify; nurse’s name should be documented on requisition and in tech comments. Ensure patient images are marked with correct information before sending to teleradiology. Practice proper radiation protection at all times; ensure protective equipment meets standards. Abstain from consuming alcohol, illegal substances, or possessing weapons. Update criminal background changes and adhere to drug‑free workplace policy. Behave professionally and ethically according to the Code of Conduct. Do not refuse assigned case regardless of location. Do not call referral site for purposes other than providing ETA. Record all hours worked into timesheet accurately and timely per protocol. If operating company vehicle, maintain it in accordance with maintenance policy; follow traffic laws and maintain speed limits. Company vehicle owners must pay all motor‑vehicle tickets, including parking and speeding tickets. Maintain valid driver’s license and supply copy to TridentCare personnel; undergo periodic checks. Provide medical physical exams and TB screening at hire and annually, plus annual infection‑control in‑service; submit documentation within two (2) weeks of last annual exam. Facility staff conduct patient transfers; technologists should not engage in transfers or assistance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
