Description SeaView Community Services is seeking a dependable and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support adults receiving services in our Adult Mental Health Residential Program. The BHT provides direct support, supervision, skill-building, and encouragement to residents as they work toward greater stability, independence, and recovery. SeaView's Adult Mental Health Residential Facility is a small, 7-bed program located in a peaceful wooded setting above the lagoon in Seward. The home-like environment provides adults experiencing mental health challenges with a safe, structured, and supportive place to build stability, strengthen daily living skills, and work toward greater independence. Staff provide 24-hour support in a setting that emphasizes recovery, wellness, community connection, and individualized care. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Provide direct supervision and support to residents in a safe, structured environment. Assist residents with daily living skills, routines, community activities, and treatment goals. Build professional, supportive relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Observe and report changes in resident behavior, functioning, or safety concerns. Support residents during periods of emotional distress using trauma-informed and de-escalation approaches. Assist with transportation, activities, and medication-related processes as assigned and trained. Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record. Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic residential environment. Participate in staff meetings, training, and supervision. Perform other duties as assigned. WHY SEAVIEW? SCHEDULE Residential services operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Positions may include day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts. TEMPORARY HOUSING Temporary Housing is available for this role. Please inquire within interview. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work effectively with adults experiencing behavioral health challenges. Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. Ability to complete required documentation and use basic computer systems.
