Skilled Home Health Nurse (RN) - Ventilator & Tracheostomy Care

At Vertus HealthCare, we are committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care in the comfort of our patients' homes. We are seeking an experienced and dependable RN to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a ventilator and tracheostomy-dependent patient in a home setting.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage ventilator settings, alarms, and respiratory equipment
Perform tracheostomy care and suctioning
Assess respiratory status and respond to changes in condition
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Manage enteral feedings and monitor tolerance
Provide Foley catheter care and monitor output
Educate family/caregivers on patient care and emergency procedures
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

Qualifications

Active Florida RN license
Minimum 2 years of experience preferred in:

Home health
Ventilator/trach care
ICU or critical care

Current BLS certification required
ACLS preferred
Strong assessment and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a home setting
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
