Job Description

The Warehouse Worker plays a key role in day-to-day material handling, shipping and receiving, and local deliveries. This position combines hands-on warehouse operations such as palletizing, packaging, and forklift operation with driving a company truck for local deliveries during business hours. You will help ensure products are accurately prepared, labeled, and shipped, supporting a small, established manufacturing operation with a strong family-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
• Perform shipping and receiving activities, including checking in materials, verifying documentation, and preparing outgoing shipments.
• Operate a sit-down forklift to move, load, and unload materials, pallets, and products as needed.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring products are secured and handled to prevent damage.
• Band packages and products, palletize items, and build skids to prepare shipments for transport.
• Cut material according to specifications and production requirements.
• Perform basic painting tasks on products or equipment as required.
• Label products, packages, and materials accurately to support inventory and shipping processes.
• Assist with general production and assembly tasks as needed to support manufacturing operations.
• Maintain accurate inventory through proper packing, material handling, and documentation.
• Conduct general labor duties around the warehouse to keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Drive a company truck to complete local deliveries during business hours, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and safe operation of forklifts and other equipment.
• Support overtime needs before the regular shift when required, based on production demands.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production, shipping, and delivery goals.

Essential Skills

• Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse or production environment.
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working around manufacturing equipment and materials.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly as part of daily duties.
• Hands-on experience with packing, material handling, loading, and unloading.
• Knowledge of general production and assembly tasks in a manufacturing setting.
• Attention to detail for accurate labelling, inventory handling, and shipment preparation.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to perform local deliveries in a company truck.
• Reliability and punctuality for a 1st shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Willingness to work overtime before the regular shift when required by production needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodstock, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Woodstock,IL.
