Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring CA RN license, Epic experience, and at least 2 years of stepdown or ICU experience.

Job Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown / Cardiac Telemetry / MS-Tele setting,
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:00-16:30),
• Cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias,
• Care for patients pre/post cardiac catheterization, angiogram, and cardiac surgery,
• Management of BiPAP/CPAP, non-invasive airway management, and oxygen administration,
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/PICC line care,
• Blood product administration and heparin protocol management,
• Cardiac drip management (no titration) and procedural sedation monitoring,
• Feeding tube care and isolation precaution/PPE protocols,
• Uses Epic EMR system,
• Floating between sister facilities within the state may be required,

Job Requirements

• Active CA RN license (Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration),
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,
• Stepdown or ICU experience required,
• Epic EMR experience required (hard requirement),
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS,
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting,
• Must provide full SSN and DOB for consideration,
• Active professional license required at time of consideration,

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac telemetry and PCU-level nursing care including dysrhythmia interpretation and emergency response,
• Must disclose any prior employment history with Providence facilities (permanent, travel, or per-diem), including location and dates,
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility,
• Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day),
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius,
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer, as post-offer requests may not be granted,
• Candidates should not contact facility staff directly except for scheduled interviews
