Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Summary:
The OR Nurse provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role involves preoperative assessment, intraoperative support, and postoperative evaluation to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients preoperatively to determine their health status and prepare them for surgery.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans aligned with surgical team goals.
• Assist in the setup and execution of surgical procedures by preparing equipment, supplies, and maintaining sterile technique.
• Position patients correctly, prepare operative sites, and verify procedure details with the surgical team.
• Perform surgical counts and accurately document nursing care and patient responses throughout the perioperative process.
• Support the cleaning and sterilization of operating room supplies following procedures to maintain a sterile environment.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN License.
• Possess at least one year of surgical nursing experience.
• Have a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical procedures, and patient safety protocols.
• Exhibit excellent assessment and communication skills.
