Physician Wound Care - MD/DO - FT

K orzen Health seeks a full-time Wound Care Physician (MD/DO) to lead the Wound Care Clinic program in theElizabeth City, NC,United States market area in collaboration with Healogics andSentara Albemarle Medical Center. For over 25 years, Healogics has been treating patients with chronicwounds from over 600 hospital-based wound care centers across thecountry. Currently, Healogics treats over 300,000 wound care patientsannually and has healed nearly 4 million wounds. Healogics is the worldsleading expert in wound healing. This position is based in our outpatient wound care clinic and isexclusively dedicated to procedural wound care. Our standard work hoursare daytime hours averaging around 40 hours per week. There are nonight shifts, on-call responsibilities, holiday hours, or weekend hours.The clinic is integrated with Sentara Albemarle Medical Center,and thephysician will be employed by Healogics. This is a procedure-oriented environment primarily serving geriatricpatients. The successful candidate must be Board Certified/BoardEligible in their core specialty and possess a strong proceduralbackground. Recent experience with procedures such as suturing,incision and drainage (I&D), or other types of procedures isrequired, and procedural case logs will be requested as part of thecredentialing process. Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Therapytraining are available. A full clinical team will be in place from thestart date. Scope of Practice Highlights Full Team support includes Case Manager, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Nurses, Office Manager, and Front/Back End Support. Weoffer advanced wound-care treatments to promote healing, including:Cellulitis therapy, compression therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy,infection management and prevention, wound cleaning, and wound dressing. Standardwork hours are daytime hours averaging around 40 hours per week. Thereare no night shifts, on-call responsibilities, holiday hours, or weekendhours. There is opportunity for growth into leadership positions. Education and Experience Requirements MD or DO degree Must be Board-Certified 2+ years of experience in a procedural environment (i.e. urgent care, wound care, specialist medical office) Clear and Active State Medical License and a DEA License Compensation and Benefits The compensation model consists of a base salary with a bonus plan, and a Medical Director Stipend.
