G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc., an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Lieutenant. The Lieutenant assists the Sector Manager in day-to-day location operations that include training, discipline, operations, and overall site supervision. Lieutenants are required to ensure sufficient supervision of personnel and oversight of operations. The Lieutenant is responsible for overseeing the scheduling, workflow, and day-to-day operations of transportation teams and stationary guards and coordinates tactical transport operations with customer-level supervisors. In the absence of the Sector Manager, the Lieutenant is the direct link between company and customer's first line supervision/management team. The Lieutenant is responsible for seeing that this high-profile customer receives the level and quality of security service desired and that the directives issued are passed to the individuals responsible for providing that security. The Lieutenant will also perform transportation officer duties to include transport missions and guard-level duties as needed per client request for on-demand services. The Lieutenant will be called upon to respond to on-demand services which may occur during overnight hours, weekends, and holidays.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Liaise with customer-level supervisors; provide indirect supervision of transportation teams, stationary, and remote guarding, and overall site operations; provide direct supervision of shift supervisors
Provide oversight to shift schedules; interface with customer's supervisors, Fleet Manager, and Program Manager; evaluate performance of shift supervisors and officers; clearly articulate directives, policies, and procedures to subordinate personnel
Frequent meetings with customer's supervisors concerning operational and personnel issues
Oversee training programs including support to local Trainers
Ensure the training program material is properly applied by all personnel; ensure all employees are available in accordance with applicable customer and G4S contract regulations and policies, as well as Federal, State, and local laws
Conduct reviews of operational programs to ensure compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS), state, federal, and G4S policies and procedures
Report incidents, analyze data and information, and maintain oversight of daily, weekly, and monthly PWS required reports
Investigate and report incidents; maintain oversight and preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports
Perform transport missions and guard-level duties as needed per client request for on-demand services which may occur during overnight hours, weekends, and holidays
Plan and develop site shift and rotation schedules
Assess operational needs of transportation teams and stationary/remote guards, and determine, develop, and implement measures to satisfy needed items
Proactively identify vulnerabilities to operations specific to safety and certain events such as entry and exit; develop and implement solutions that mitigate identified operational vulnerabilities
Assess training and skill deficiencies of Shift Supervisors and Officers; coordinate corrective measures with Captain and Operations Managers that will mitigate identified deficiencies
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: The basic qualifications listed below are representative of the relevant knowledge, skills, and/or experience required in order to be hired. These are requirements that we have determined are the minimum a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role.
Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:
Must be United States citizen or legal permanent resident
Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent GED
Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
Must be able to pass a state licensing test if you will be driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws; G4S will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:
Minimum of two (2) years of driving experience and a minimum of 21 years of age (as required by the Department of Transportation)
Prior supervisory experience in a multi-location security environment
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in any combination of the following:
Law enforcement
Military police
Security officer engaged in correctional operations
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Must be at least 21 years old or minimum required by the state, if higher
Must be able to read, understand, and comprehend legal regulatory rulings and guidance
Effective oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accurately
Planning and organizing skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

State-issued security licenses for armed and unarmed security personnel applicable to the assigned work location.
Possession of a current and valid Commercial Driver's License with a Passenger endorsement
Fluency in multiple languages (reading, writing, and speaking)
Possession of an active federal clearance
