JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking team-oriented candidates to perform a wide variety of production duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. The position involves operating production equipment, moving materials, performing measurements and quality inspections, recording production data, and following all safety and quality procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all safety procedures, policies, and work instructions.
• Operate one or more pieces of production equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining required production pace.
• Operate industrial trucks and cranes to move metal and other materials throughout the plant.
• Measure metal dimensions using steel tape, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
• Read and work with measurements expressed in fractions and decimals.
• Cut samples and perform required production checks.
• Set up and operate production equipment.
• Inspect metal and other materials for quality and defects.
• Perform visual inspections to identify product defects or abnormalities.
• Use computer terminals to record metal flow, production data, and other required information.
• Complete required production paperwork and documentation.
• Perform safety-sensitive duties as required.
• Work evenings, nights, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Legally authorized to work in the United States. Employment eligibility will be verified at the time of hire.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Must meet applicable requirements for access to controlled technology under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and/or International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
• Qualified candidates must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or otherwise eligible to obtain the required government authorization.
• Some high school education required.
• Willingness to work a fixed or rotating 24/7 schedule , including 8- or 12-hour shifts.
• Willingness to work evenings, nights, holidays, and overtime.
• Must successfully complete a comprehensive skills assessment.
• Must successfully pass a physical examination, drug screening, and background check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Two (2) years of experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Equivalent military experience will be considered.
• Combination of relevant work experience and post-high-school education.
• Knowledge of or experience working with aluminum products.
• Experience with door and storefront fabrication.
• Experience operating machine-based equipment, saws, punch presses, and/or milling machines.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Ability to read basic shop drawings.
• Ability to understand and work with measurements, fractions, and decimals.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
• Self-motivated and dependable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• People- and service-oriented approach.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Industrial manufacturing environment.
• Work may involve operating heavy machinery, industrial trucks, cranes, saws, and other production equipment.
• Position may involve safety-sensitive tasks.
• Must be able to work extended hours, overtime, holidays, evenings, and nights as required by production needs.
