Special Skills/Experience required: 2 Years + All travelers are required to float, while on the interview please inform traveler of the Methodist Floating Policy

Documentation system: Meditech

Unit Guidelines: Badging in and out for shift is required along with taking a full 30-minute lunch. Be on time for scheduled shifts (Clock in time 6:38 am/pm, after 6:45 is considered tardy)

Requested Skill Set:

Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)

Strong critical thinking skills

Minimum 2-3 years or more ICU experience

ACLS

BLS

NIH Stroke Certification

Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first)

MICU & MSICU background

IABP exposure

CRRT exposure

Meditech experience preferred

Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN)

ACTIVE TX RN License TEMP LICENSE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

Procedures performed on unit: Chest tubes, tracks, GI scopes Intubations, central lines, art lines NG Tubes, Foley Catheters, Dressing Changes

Dress Code:

Scrub Color: RN: Navy-scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket

Nail Policy: Clean and Healthy

Hair: Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed

Tattoos: Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually

Piercings: Visible piercings other than ears, is prohibited
