Production Coordinator / Shipping & Quality Control Lead

Job Description Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Production Coordinator / Shipping & Quality Control Lead to oversee daily production flow, shipping logistics, paint scheduling, and quality assurance. This role is critical to ensuring products move efficiently from production through final delivery while maintaining quality standards, meeting deadlines, and solving operational challenges quickly and effectively. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands time-sensitive production schedules, communicates clearly across teams, and takes ownership of keeping operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Shipping & Logistics Coordinate all outgoing shipments to ensure accurate, on-time delivery Prepare shipping documentation, labels, bills of lading, and freight coordination Schedule pickups and communicate with carriers, vendors, and customers as needed Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, damages, or logistical issues Maintain shipping records and ensure inventory movement is accurately documented Paint Scheduling / Production Coordination Create, maintain, and manage daily/weekly paint and production schedules Coordinate workflow between departments to ensure efficient production sequencing Prioritize jobs based on deadlines, production capacity, and customer commitments Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to avoid bottlenecks Communicate scheduling changes clearly with production, leadership, and support teams Quality Control Inspect products throughout production and before shipment for workmanship, finish quality, specifications, and compliance Identify defects, inconsistencies, or process issues and coordinate corrective action Maintain quality control standards, inspection documentation, and reporting Work closely with production staff to ensure quality expectations are understood and met Recommend process improvements to reduce errors, rework, and delays Communication & Problem Solving Serve as the communication hub between production, shipping, vendors, and management Anticipate production conflicts and proactively resolve scheduling or operational issues Escalate critical concerns quickly with clear recommendations Manage multiple moving priorities while maintaining accuracy and urgency Support continuous improvement efforts for workflow, organization, and efficiency Qualifications Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Proven ability to manage schedules, deadlines, and multiple priorities simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive mindset Ability to work effectively under pressure in a deadline-driven environment Experience in shipping/logistics, manufacturing coordination, production scheduling, or quality control preferred Familiarity with freight systems, inventory tracking, production scheduling software, or ERP systems is a plus Ability to read work orders, specifications, and production documentation Strong sense of accountability, urgency, and ownership
