In this role, you'll provide in-home respiratory therapy and clinical support to patients using ventilators, oxygen therapy, and other advanced equipment. You'll be part of a team that values autonomy, patient education, and personalized care. At this location, this position pays $36 to $40 per hour, depending on related experience, and is eligible for a bonus opportunity.External candidates are eligible for a $2000 gross sign on bonus to be paid after 60 days and another $2000 after 180 days of continuous employment.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.)Maintains a complete listing of all current respiratory patientsProvides initial and ongoing phone contacts with all respiratory patients per Rotech policy and procedureProvides in-home visits to patients per Rotech's policy and procedureConducts patient assessment per Rotech's policy and procedure and the physician's order Patient assessment may include but is not limited to:Verbal assessment (e.g., patient history, symptom review, etc.)Physical assessment (e.g., lung auscultation, blood pressure, etc.)Diagnostics (e.g., spirometry, oximetry, sleep studies)Provides patient education as applicable. Instead, the Company will conduct an individualized assessment that considers the duties of the position, the nature and timing of the offense, and any evidence of rehabilitation, in accordance with applicable laws.Drug screen (when applicable for the position)Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing process (when applicable for the position)Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)Required Education and/or ExperienceCandidates may qualify through a combination of education, training, and relevant work experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.Any education requirements mandated by applicable federal, state, or local law, regulation, licensing requirement, or customer contract.Active licensure in your primary state of residence as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) or other acceptable medical credential (e.g., RC, RN) based on state licensure lawsWillingness to obtain licensure in neighboring states if required by service areaPreferred Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalent, preferredCompletion of an accredited program in respiratory care, nursing, or a related paramedical fieldExperience in home respiratory care or home healthcareDegree in respiratory therapy or a related scienceAt least one year of relevant clinical experienceFamiliarity with medical terminologySkills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectivelyExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAbility to interpret and respond to various forms of communication (verbal, written, visual)Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretionDemonstrated problem-solving, time management, and organizational skillsCapable of working independently and collaboratively within a teamTechnical ProficiencyProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Comfortable with email communication, internet research, and using office equipment (fax, copier, printer, phone, computer/tablet)Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and transport patient equipment (minimum 65 lbs)Regular contact with patients and equipment may involve exposure to contagious pathogensMust be able to sit, stand, walk, talk, and listen for extended periodsRequires close vision for reading small print on screens and paperworkMust comply with Rotech's Respiratory Protection & N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy, including:Medical evaluation and fit testingAnnual recertificationMaintaining a clean-shaven face for proper mask seal per OSHA guidelines
