RTC Associate, Agricultural Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

As a RTC Associate, you will work with our team of Agriculture Industry consultants to analyze, identify, document qualifying agricultural activities across a variety of operations. This role will work directly with farmers, ranchers, producers, and agribusiness clients to understand their operations, evaluate qualifying activities, and support the preparation of R&D tax credit studies and documentation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential functions Support analysis of agricultural processes, operational improvements, irrigation systems, livestock operations, precision agriculture, and other qualifying farming and ranching activities Assist with fieldwork activities including client interviews with farmers, ranchers and agribusiness owners, facility tours, gathering relevant information, reviewing operational procedures and documentation, and summarizing findings Support preparation of cost lead schedules, cost summary schedules, related calculations, and draft reports summarizing findings Assist in ensuring client projects are completed in accordance with firm standards and within established timelines and budgets Coordinate project and delivery schedules to help meet client deadlines and expectations Supervisory responsibilities None Work environment Work is conducted in a professional office environment with minimal distractions Physical demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing work in front of a computer screen for long periods of time Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time Travel required Moderate travel may be required for client site visits, agricultural conferences, trade shows, and internal meetings Required education and experience 1 – 2 years research tax credit experience Preferred education and experience Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Animal Science, Agricultural Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Experience working with farmers, ranchers, producer cooperatives, or agricultural operations strongly preferred.
