The Transfusion Medicine Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist monitors the day-to-day operations of the Transfusion Service Section of the Transfusion Medicine Division; ensures that all procedures are performed as defined in the section policy and procedure manuals as approved by the Transfusion Medicine Medical Director; oversees all Transfusion Service Clinical Laboratory Scientists, students and ancillary personnel within the department; performs all duties of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Upon hire: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California, or Upon hire: California Clinical Chemist Scientist License, or Upon hire: California Clinical Immunohematologist Scientist License, or Upon hire: California Clinical Microbiologist Scientist License, or Upon hire: California Clinical Toxicologist Scientist License, or Upon hire: California Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist License, or Upon hire: California Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist License, or Upon hire: California Clinical Hematology Scientist License, or Upon hire: California Clinical Histocompatibility Scientist License, or Upon hire: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist Biochemistry Special License 1 year experience in a hospital laboratory in area of responsibility. 4 years must meet CLIA requirements for testing personnel, moderate to high complexity tests: experience in respective specialty.
