Quality Inspector – Aviation Component RepairSnelling has an immediate opening for a Quality Inspector with an established aviation company in the Louisville, KY area. This position is responsible for verifying that repaired and fabricated aircraft components meet exacting industry, customer, and regulatory standards before they leave the facility. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, strong documentation habits, and the ability to hold the line on quality in a fast-paced aerospace repair environment.Job DutiesInspect machined, fabricated, and repaired components against blueprints, work orders, and engineering specificationsPerform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other inspection toolsReview and maintain inspection records, certifications, and quality documentationIdentify and document nonconformances; work with production staff to resolve discrepanciesVerify materials, processes, and finished parts comply with applicable industry and regulatory standardsSupport internal and customer audits as neededMaintain calibration records for inspection equipmentQuality Inspector RequirementsPrior experience in quality inspection, preferably in an aviation, aerospace, or precision manufacturing environmentStrong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skillsProficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)Familiarity with quality systems and documentation practicesExcellent attention to detail and record-keepingAbility to pass a drug screen and background check
