Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room Open Heart, Nashville, Tennessee
The organization is seeking an RN to support perioperative services in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting. Responsibilities include circulating as needed for open heart cases and supporting patient care across a variety of surgical specialties. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: 10-hour Days (06301700), with days off on a rotational basis; weekend call begins Saturday 0630 through Monday 0630 (48 hours), and additional late work may be required to complete cases. Shift coverage rotates based on a 6-week staff schedule. Minimum hours per week: 40.0.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (license must be brought on the first day)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Circulating experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
  • Minimum of 2 years pediatric experience
  • Prior travel experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
• Additional Information:
  • Circulating is required.
  • If no need is present on the assigned unit, floating to other units may be required where the nurse is competent to work.
  • Patient population includes ages 018, with possible adult coverage.
  • Surgical patients may include all services such as eyes (cataracts, vitrectomies, retina), general, orthopedics, neurology, ear/nose/throat (ENT), urology, plastics, and burns.
  • Scrubs are provided by hospital linen services.
  • COVID vaccination requirements apply: complete COVID vaccine series or a valid exemption by the start date, with no exceptions.
