Description What You'll Do

• Perform a broad range of nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, PET/CT imaging, thyroid studies, and cardiac evaluations
• Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines
• Use gamma cameras and hybrid imaging systems to acquire and process diagnostic images
• Monitor patient vitals and comfort throughout procedures, ensuring a positive imaging experience
• Analyze and interpret scan results, identifying abnormalities and assisting in clinical decision-making
• Maintain imaging equipment, perform quality control procedures, and troubleshoot as needed
• Accurately document all procedures and results in EHR and imaging platforms
• Follow all HIPAA, NRC, and facility guidelines related to radiation safety and patient care

Education

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or closely related field
• Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program required

Certifications

• Current certification through NMTCB or ARRT(N)
• BLS certification required (or completed within 30 days of hire)
• Additional imaging credentials (CT, PET) a plus

Skills & Qualifications

• 12 years of experience preferred, though new grads encouraged to apply
• Proficiency with diagnostic imaging systems and PACS integration
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and quality assurance practices
• Exceptional attention to detail and image quality
• Excellent communication and bedside manner for a broad patient population
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a calm, organized manner
