Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current Washington State COTA license
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred

Role Overview

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant , you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help students develop functional motor, sensory, self-help, and independent living skills that support their educational goals. You will provide direct therapy services and collaborate with educational staff to help students access and participate in their school environment successfully.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
• Support students in developing fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, self-care, vocational, and functional life skills
• Document student performance and progress toward established goals
• Maintain accurate and timely treatment records and service logs
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, paraprofessionals, and families regarding student progress and strategies
• Assist with monitoring, maintaining, and adapting therapeutic equipment and materials
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities as required
• Follow district, state, and federal regulations related to special education services
• Support students across a variety of educational settings, including transition and life-skills programs
• Perform other related duties as assigned
