Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime

 

Job Description

We are seeking an  Associate Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in  analytical testing and research using HPLC, GC, and UV techniques and a proven ability to  execute analytical methods to support product and process development, regulatory filings, and approvals .

Responsibilities:

• Perform analytical research and development activities supporting product and process development across feasibility, development, tech transfer, registration, and validation phases.
• Execute and assist with method development, transfer, verification, and validation under direct supervision.
• Conduct routine release and stability testing in support of clinical development and registration activities.
• Collaborate with product development and process transfer teams to deliver timely analytical results with sound data interpretation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• B.S. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Life Sciences (preferred in Analytical Chemistry).
• At least 1 year of analytical testing or research experience using HPLC, GC, and UV.
• Proficiency with analytical chemistry calculations, including concentrations (Area%, %w/w, ppm, μg/mL), molarity, Beer’s Law, and reference standard purity determinations.
• Ability to perform basic statistical data analysis and maintain complete laboratory documentation with legible handwriting.
• Hands-on laboratory skills with the ability to learn quickly and multitask to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong coordination and prioritization to support manufacturing and project timelines; effective individual and team performance under pressure.
• Effective communication skills; proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and safe handling of chemicals of varying potency.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to perform analytical testing while standing for extended periods.
• Commitment to accurate testing and first-time-right execution of protocols to meet customer and production timelines.
• Foundational knowledge of chromatographic techniques (LC, GC, dissolution) and spectroscopic analysis (UV).
• Ability to perform or assist with photostability studies (ICH Q1B), dose dump, solubility, polymorphism, and hygroscopy studies for regulatory filings on drug substance and drug product as needed.
• Understanding of ICH guidelines (Q1, Q2, Q3) and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
• Adherence to SOPs related to DEA scheduled drugs, safety, waste management, and housekeeping, and support for continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience supporting clinical development and registration activities in a GMP or regulated environment.
• Familiarity with method lifecycle management and technology transfer.
