Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives serving as a dedicated school mental health provider in an innovative school-based program. This part-time contract position supports students in a therapeutic academic environment, collaborating closely with education professionals and families to nurture social-emotional growth and academic success.
Work with students individually and in group settings to address behavioral and emotional challenges, contributing valuable expertise as a School Social Worker, School Counselor, or School-Based Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). The position starts as soon as possible and continues through June 2027, with the possibility of increasing to full-time hours.
What we’re seeking:
- Active Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) certification
- Current credential as a School Counselor, School Social Worker, or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Experience supporting K-12 students with social, emotional, or behavioral needs
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage students, families, and staff across diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to evidence-based therapeutic techniques and collaborative problem-solving
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all student interactions
Key responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small group counseling to address academic, emotional, and social concerns
- Partner with teachers, families, and school staff on student support plans
- Conduct student assessments and maintain accurate documentation
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to foster student well-being
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development
This part-time role offers a consistent weekday schedule with hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, and Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Compensation is highly competitive and reflective of your experience.
