Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred\n • 3+ years of accounting experience preferred\n • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop preferred\n • Understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals\n • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills\n • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment\n • Strong communication and problem solving abilities\n • Self motivated and comfortable working in a small company environment where employees wear multiple hats

• Public accounting experience\n • Equipment rental, industrial, construction, manufacturing, energy, or service industry experience\n • Exposure to fixed assets, depreciation, and general ledger accounting\n • Experience supporting multiple areas of an accounting department

RainRock Services LLC is seeking a hands on Staff Accountant to join its team in Abilene, Texas. This individual will work closely with company leadership and gain exposure across the full accounting function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants broad accounting experience in a growing company rather than being limited to a highly specialized finance role.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience working within QuickBooks Desktop, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast paced environment. The company is open to experienced accountants as well as recent accounting graduates with strong fundamentals and a desire to learn\n\nProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions\n • Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records\n • Assist with fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules\n • Support month end and year end close activities\n • Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy\n • Manage accounting functions within QuickBooks Desktop\n • Assist with bookkeeping and administrative accounting tasks\n • Support financial reporting and special projects for leadership\n • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures\n • Contribute to a variety of accounting and operational initiatives as needed
