Key Personnel is seeking a Buyer for a manufacturing facility in the Claremore, OK area.

Buyer Pay Rate: $55,000+ annually (based on experience)

Buyer Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm

 

Buyer Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotes (RFQs) to suppliers in support of engineering and operational needs
• Analyze supplier quotes and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
• Develop and maintain long-term supplier agreements aligned with customer demand
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Communicate regularly with suppliers to ensure performance expectations are met
• Lead supplier quality and delivery improvement initiatives
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material purchases to support production schedules
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials
• Support raw material consolidation and cost optimization strategies
• Identify and implement cost savings opportunities
• Support procurement strategies that improve efficiency and reduce waste
• Partner with internal teams to align purchasing activities with business objectives
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate purchasing records within ERP systems
• Prepare reports on purchasing activity, including cost analysis and supplier performance metrics

Buyer Requirements 

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain preferred
• Experience with raw material purchasing and consolidation preferred
• Proficiency with ERP systems required
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment

• Manufacturing facility environment
• Exposure to noise, dust, and production activity
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move throughout the facility, including stairs
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Ability to review and interpret printed and digital engineering specifications
