Apparatus & Equipment Readiness: Performs daily pre‑ and post‑trip inspections on assigned wildland medical transport vehicles (4x4 ambulances, UTVs, or support trucks). Ensures all specialized wilderness medical gear, trauma bags, and ruggedized equipment are fully stocked, secured, and functional for off‑road operations. Logistics & Maintenance: Keeps medical vehicles and crew quarters/camp setups clean, organized, and sanitized. Monitors, refuels, and checks fluids of assigned ruggedized vehicles to prevent mechanical failures in remote areas. Reports hazards or vehicle discrepancies immediately to the Incident Logistics Section and the Home Agency Manager. Required Skills / Abilities Exceptional patience, tact, and adaptability while living and working in high‑stress, high‑density incident base camps or remote spike camps. Ability to work in a constant state of hyper‑awareness regarding fire behavior, environmental hazards, and safety zones. Good memory for complex wilderness protocols, navigation, map reading (Avenza / GPS), and independent decision‑making when communications are limited. Flexibility to accept immediate dispatches, extended deployments, and variable shift schedules, including weekends and holidays. #J-18808-Ljbffr
