Lawn Care & Landscaping Technician

Location : Lansing, MI

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Lawn Care & Landscaping Technician to join our team. This role focuses on basic lawn maintenance and light landscaping for residential and commercial properties.

Although this is considered a part-time, weather-dependent position, employees can typically expect up to 40 hours per week depending on weather conditions and workload during peak season.

Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (or until jobs are completed)
• Friday: Reserved as a makeup/rain day when needed
• Occasional overtime opportunities may be available

Pay:

• Starting at $20-$22 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Operate push mowers and zero-turn mowers safely and efficiently
• Use weed whackers, edgers, and other lawn care equipment
• Perform routine lawn maintenance and property cleanup
• Assist with light landscaping projects including:
• Weeding
• Flower bed installation and maintenance
• Mulching and general landscape upkeep
• Load and unload equipment and materials as needed
• Drive and maintain company work truck responsibly
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude on job sites

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be comfortable driving a work truck
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift, bend, walk, and perform physical labor throughout the day
• Prior lawn care or landscaping experience preferred, but not required (willing to train)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
