Volunteer Literacy Tutor Needed

Level Up Learning Lab | Harlem Commonwealth Council Harlem Commonwealth Council (HCC) is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer Literacy Tutors to support middle school students through our Level Up Learning Lab, a Saturday academic enrichment program focused on strengthening reading comprehension, writing skills, and overall literacy development. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about literacy, youth development, and educational equity, and who want to make a meaningful impact in the Harlem community. Program Details Schedule: Weekly, Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Dates: February through June 2026 Student Population: Middle school students (grades 6–8) Location: Harlem (exact location provided upon onboarding) Commitment: Consistent weekly participation strongly preferred HCC follows all DOH and DOE background check requirements. All volunteers are required to complete a full background check prior to participation.
