Job Details

Objectives

• Schedule and dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate using radios or telephones.
• Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from work crews and supervisors using telephones or two-way radios.
• Prepare daily work schedules. Receive or prepare work orders.
• Oversee all communications within specifically assigned areas.
• Monitor personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate schedules.
• Record and maintain files and records of dispatch information.
• Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications.

Qualifications

• Compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, & SA Recycling safety, health, & environmental rules, regulations, policies, & procedures.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) required.
• Previous experience in dispatch, traffic, or field service scheduling required.

Knowledge

• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Mandatory & Voluntary Requirements

• General Corporate policies / procedures (e.g. sexual harassment, yard safety, et. al.) training required.
• Emergency evacuation / contingency plan training required.
• Fire safety training required.
• Proper PPE use training required.
