We are looking for a qualified full-time (32+ hours/week) Dental/Surgical Assistant to assist in an oral and maxillofacial surgery office. The right applicant will have a compassionate and outgoing personality with a willingness to learn. Hours of operation are 8:30-5:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. There will be some Wednesdays required during the year, as well.

Responsibilities

• Help Dentists prepare for procedures by having the necessary tools sterilized and in place
• Help keep a patient’s mouth clean and dry during procedures and hand Dentists the necessary tools at the appropriate time
• Patient education; explain procedures and discuss post-operative instructions
• This position will include all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery

Requirements

• Previous dental or surgical assisting is preferred
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for the workday
• Excellent customer service skills with an outgoing, people friendly personality
• The ideal applicant will display and demonstrate excellent communication skills with staff and patients
• Desire to learn new skills and expand your potential

Compensation Package

• Compensation will be comprised of a base salary that is commensurate with experience
