General Laborer - Commercial Flat Surfacing - Local

Job Description

Join our team as a General Laborer in a dynamic commercial flat surfacing company. This role involves engaging in the final stages of construction by laying out waterproof liners, hooking up, and installing insulation, as well as applying rock or abrasive materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties for roof tear-offs.
• Reinsulate, apply waterproofing, and lay stabilizing materials like rock.
• Use a tape measure and hand tools effectively.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Measure and cut 4x8 foot sheets of foam insulation to accommodate roof obstructions such as AC units and vent holes.
• Travel overnight for about half of the remaining year.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Experience with general labor in construction, farming, landscaping, or roofing.
• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working outdoors is highly valued.
• Capability to work in different weather conditions.

Work Environment

Work predominantly outdoors in varying weather conditions. All tasks are performed on commercial flat roofs, accessed through building maintenance stairs. The work environment is secure with roped-off edges to ensure safety, and a man-lift is available when necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Cloud, MN.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
