Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring all shipping and receiving activities are completed efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will have experience operating warehouse equipment, driving a box truck, and maintaining a strong commitment to safety and organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Prepare, package, and ship outgoing orders accurately and on schedule.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through routine counts and recordkeeping.
• Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Operate a company box truck to pick up and deliver materials as needed.
• Complete shipping and receiving documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with production, purchasing, and management teams regarding inventory and shipment needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Experience driving a box truck required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory tracking systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required.
