Full-time Contract Associate Description Summary The main purpose ofthe Expert WitnessReport Writeris toprovide support and assistanceto theConsultants, ensuringreports produced meetthe leading industry standard for PensionLoss, Loss ofEarnings, Periodical Payment OrdersandSettlement Assessmentreportstogether with managing and maintainingownwork-loadto a highstandard. The Expert Witness Report Writer must undergo trainingin order tohave understanding and knowledge on how to producePensionLoss, Loss ofEarnings, Periodical Payment Ordersand Settlement Assessment reports. This will include knowledge of Pension Schemes, Accounting rules for employed Claimants, how toproducecashflows and analysis of any relevant documents. As a graduate, the Report Writer will alsobe requiredto undertake their Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planningwhich consists of 6 exams.3 exams to be completed in year one and 3 in year two. Responsibilities Managingown workloadandmaintaininga high standard of work Ensure they are accuratelymaintainingand updatingour CRM (Intelliflo)data in line with agreed processes Understanding how to use any relevant spreadsheets, cashflowsystemand PI calculator. Keep up to date with knowledge provided to you by the team specialists or manager, keeping notes of any training sessions or update emails. Keeping updated onregulation and caselaw affecting the provision andmethodologyfor PensionLoss/Loss ofEarnings/PeriodicalPayments/SettlementAssessments Understanding any relevant case law and how the rulings apply to our reports. Assistwithany administrative tasks in the absence of the Team administrator. Ensuringreport’sissued are produced in line with formatting specifications. Continuously learning the rules of different pension schemesin order tocalculate the relevant pension in the reports. Keeping up to date with the revision of the Ogden Tables. Understanding the rules and application of taxation and national insurance. Qualifications GCSE in Maths and English Degree Level or equivalent– Legal/accounting/financial fields is preferred Experience in Accountancy, Pension orLegal fields is preferable Competent in using Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
