Job Description Location: Dove Mountain Veterinary, Marana, AZ Schedule: 4 days per week, including one weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) About Us Dove Mountain Veterinary is a fast-paced, AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and outstanding client service. We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and hardworking Kennel Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who loves animals, enjoys staying active throughout the day, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our patients. Responsibilities Provide daily care for hospitalized and boarding pets Feed, walk, medicate (as directed), and monitor patients Clean and disinfect kennels, runs, cages, and treatment areas Launder bedding and maintain cleanliness throughout the hospital Monitor pets for changes in behavior, appetite, or overall condition and report concerns to medical staff Assist veterinary technicians and doctors with animal restraint when needed Maintain accurate records of patient care activities Ensure pets receive compassionate attention and enrichment during their stay Stock supplies and assist with general hospital upkeep Qualifications Previous animal care experience preferred (kennel, boarding, daycare, shelter, or veterinary setting) Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments Strong work ethic and attention to detail Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication skills and positive attitude Schedule Requirements Four shifts per week Must be available for one weekend shift each week Availability during holidays is a plus, as animal care is provided 365 days a year What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Employee pet care discounts Supportive team environment Paid time off and benefits available for eligible employees Why Join Dove Mountain Veterinary?
